193 clubs from 53 nations will participate in the competition, making it a right endurance test for the winners.
Newcastle will not enter the competition until the play-off round – which precedes the Group Stage – and won’t learn who they will face until the play-off round draw is made on August 10 (at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland).
There will be 62 teams in the play-off round, with only the 19 clubs listed below already assured of their place at that stage of the competition.
Alongside those 19 teams, there will be 29 winners from Europa League third qualifying round ties, plus 14 losers of Champions League third qualifying round ties.
Play-off first leg ties will be played on August 23 (the FA Premier League season begins on Saturday, August 18).
Second leg ties to be played August 30.
