It has been an amazing adventure for the kid, in a story that defies belief.

He saw Bradford KICKED out of the FA Cup; they were reinstated; and now he will turn out at Wembley in the League Cup.

The FA Cup Story: "Bradford did not receive written permission for Curtis Good, on loan from Newcastle, to play in the competition by the 12pm deadline on the day of the fixture, which ended 1-1 at Valley Parade.

"The decision is subject to an appeal, which if unsuccessful would see Brentford progress to the third round to play Bury or Southend.

"An FA statement read: "The FA has confirmed that Bradford City have been removed from The FA Cup with Budweiser 2012-13 competition after fielding an ineligible player in their Second Round tie against Brentford.

"Bradford City did not have the necessary written permission for Curtis Good to play in the competition, while on loan from Newcastle United, by the 12pm deadline on Friday 30 November prior to the fixture that evening.

"Bradford's removal from the competition is subject to appeal, but if this appeal is unsuccessful Brentford will go forward to the Third Round and play either Bury or Southend United."

As for tomorrow's Capital One Cup Final ...

s

The Football League has announced there will be no National Anthem played before the Capital One Cup final between Swansea and Bradford.

Tomorrow’s match at Wembley will not be preceded with either the traditional God Save The Queen or the Welsh anthem Land Of My Fathers, after the Football League confirmed their policy of ditching the practice in finals between English and Welsh sides.

The League set a precedent in 2003 when QPR and Cardiff met in the playoff final and it was announced there would be no patriotic pre-match anthems in order to avoid conflict between rival fans.

And the policy has remained in place ever since, despite the varying nature of clubs involved in such occasions, with neither the English or Welsh anthems being played before last year’s Carling Cup final between Liverpool and Cardiff.

Bradford will knock back Europe if they win!

Bradford City could be set to reject a place in the Europa League should they qualify by beating Swansea City in Sunday's Capital One Cup final.

s

The Bantams' co-chairman Mark Lawn told The Sun: "I'm not going to pay to play in Europe.

"When we beat [Aston] Villa [in the semi-final], I was told, 'You don't really want to get into Europe - it costs you money in the early rounds'.

"I said, 'Well, that'll be fun because if it costs us money, we won't be there'.

"Realistically, it's not going to be a problem because I don't think we're going to win against Swansea.

"I won't put us in fiscal danger to play in Europe. That's not going to happen. I'm deadly serious.

"It's all very well saying there are financial rewards once you get to the group stage.

"But we're a fourth division [League Two] club - realistically, we're not going to get there."
