John Carver: “There’s a lot of football to be played.
“We can’t just let this season dwindle away.
“People are paying good money to watch us.
“We’ve got to make sure every one of us – players, staff, everybody – are at our maximum.
“We can’t switch off. We can’t start thinking about our holidays.
“The type of people we are, we won’t allow that to happen.
“We started the game really well,” said Carver.
“It was probably the brightest start we’d had in a long, long time.
“When you’re on top, you’ve got to finish it off, but we didn’t, and we got punished from that. They were clinical.
“We matched them for 45 minutes, but it was only a bit of sheer genius that undid us.”
