Tottenham failed in an audacious bid to signTevez in January, according to Harry Redknapp.
Harry Redknapp: "I said to the chairman 'can you get me Carlos Tevez?'.
"Daniel made some enquiries, but it wasn't doable. If he could have done it, he would have.
"He (Levy) would have loved Tevez, but it wasn't possible because his wages are £200,000 a week. It's not possible at Tottenham to buy him.
"He is a fantastic player. When he puts a shirt on he doesn't stop running, working, he's enthusiastic, he can play and he can score goals."
Ledley King admits Tottenham's confidence has dipped after their recent poor run, but he is adamant the club can still qualify for next year's Champions League.
Ledley King: "We can turn it around. Of course we can.
"We still have four winnable games to play and if we perform to our capabilities then we can win those games.
"Last week's (1-0) defeat at QPR was disappointing for us. I felt we had a lot of the ball and didn't create too many chances but we just didn't get the break.
"That game was tough to take, but we want to put a few things right against Blackburn and get the points on Sunday.
"Confidence is important in football and it is a bit low at the moment.
"It's a difficult one to explain. We have been scratching our heads ourselves.
"A lot of the performances haven't been too bad. We've had the odd one but all in all there have not been too many games where we haven't dominated.
"We have just been lacking a bit in scoring goals at the moment, but we can tighten up at the back too. It's related to the whole team."
