The former Liverpool midfielder says: “Whoever’s here now we’ve got to presume they’ll be here at the start of the season", and they can expect to wearing the horrendous away kit at the Hawthorns when the campaign starts.
Danny Guthrie: “Everyone knows it’s going to be a tough league, everyone’s just prepared to work hard and go out and win matches.
“It’s the same as we would do in any other league. We know how difficult it’s going to be, but that’s why we’re having a tough pre-season, to be ready for it.
“I was at Southampton for a couple of months when I was 19, 20 but it’s a bit different starting from scratch in that league.
“Everyone knows what we’ve got to do and hopefully we can get a good start and push for promotion.
“Whoever’s here now we’ve got to presume they’ll be here at the start of the season.
“It’s the only way we can think unless something changes, and that’s not in our hands.
“Everyone’s just concentrating on getting fit and ready for the first game of the season. As players that’s all we can do.”
