The German brand has been the Magpies’ official kit supplier since the start of the 2010/11 season when it took over from the club’s 14-year kit partner Adidas.
The exact length and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Newcastle players unveiled their new Puma-designed away strip last weekend during their final day defeat away to Everton on Sunday.
Stuart Middlemiss, head of retail at Newcastle, said of Puma: “The brand has an excellent reputation for quality and design, and their products for Newcastle United have been extremely popular with fans over the last two seasons.
"It’s a relationship we’re looking forward to building on in the 2012/13 campaign and beyond.”
