They have signed 19-year-old Newcastle United striker Tom Heardman on a month’s loan.
The 6ft 4in striker is well thought of at the club and The Heed checked him out when he played for the Under-21s recently.
Heardman goes straight into Gateshead’s squad for tonight’s Conference match against Lincoln City at the International Stadium.
