The Zenit St Petersburg attacking midfielder superbly steered a right foot effort into the bottom corner of the Swedish net five minutes into the second half to put his side 2-0 ahead.

Arshavin, who has been widely reported as a target of Kevin Keegan's summer rebuilding plans, missed the first two games of the tournament through suspension.
