The Wales Under-21 international made four appearances at left back for Gateshead during March but is expected to play at the heart of defence against Barrow at the International Stadium on Saturday.
Former Toon midfielder and Gateshead manager Ian Bogie: "We are delighted that Newcastle United have allowed Paul to stay with us until the end of the season.
"We have six important games left, all of them cup finals, and with injuries and suspensions it was important we were able to hold on to the player for the final month.
"Paul has a bright future and did well in his first month at Gateshead, and one that can play at both left back and centre back."
Bogie, brought up in the shadow of Gazza during his time at Newcastle (1986/89), made 18 appearances for the Magpies.
