The charge of course relates to an incident at the end of the 1-0 defeat at Boro when Bellamy was one of a number of players who surrounded referee Andy D’Urso and his officials to complain at a series of shocking decisions.
An FA spokesman confirmed: "We have received Bellamy's response and he has admitted the charge and requested a personal hearing."
The date for the hearing has yet to be set, but as any resulting suspension will come into force immediately after the hearing Sir Bobby will be hoping that it will be after the Manchester United game.
