United take on Ronald Koeman’s Saints before travelling to Swansea on August 15.
Other fixtures of note are the Wear-Tyne derby, which is on October 24 before a reverse fixture on March 19.
United travel to Bournemouth on November 7 and their Christmas fixtures are at home to Everton on Boxing Day before a trip to West Brom on December 28. It’s then Arsenal away for the first fixture of 2016 on January 2.
They are at home to Tottenham on the final day and it is not until April 30, 2016 that Alan Pardew returns to St James’ Park.
