Last night Rovers continued their preparations for the new season with a 3-1 defeat to Bundesliga newcomers TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Warnock was one of only two players to complete the 90 minutes, and he spent most of the second-half playing centre-back rather than left-back.
Rovers now move onto Portugal where they face Benfica on Friday and Sporting Lisbon on Saturday in a pre-season tournament.

The former Liverpool defender skipped all questions about a move to Newcastle, saying he only wanted to talk about his current club.
Stephen Warnock: "We are a club that is moving forward and we are all looking forward to the new era under the new manager.
"Last season, even though we finished seventh, it was still a bit of a disappointment to the lads as we feel that we can finish higher than that.
"So anything lower than seventh position again will be a disappointing season for us."
