Argentine striker Pablo Bastianini has left Yeovil Town after having his contract terminated by mutual consent. And Glovers boss Steve Thompson has taken little time to try and get a replacement ... Michael Chopra!
He made an enquiry about taking the 22-year-old on a temporary basis, but caretaker boss Glenn Roeder has told Thompson that Chopra is part of his first-team plans for the time being.
Any news of Chopra becoming available will have warning bells ringing at a number of Championship clubs not just Watford, including promotion chasing Sheffield United and Leeds United, who have both checked out the Newcastle-born youngster.
