We are going to find out very soon ... because Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has told the local businessman ... "Give me £80million ... and it's yours!"
Ashley wanted £100million, and even told the media he had "three offers over £100m", to try and boost the price.
But it didn't work, and he was left looking a right Dickhead as Derek Llambias was forced to admit: "No, there were no offers put on the table."
But Ashley is growing increasingly frustrated with Moat, and the whole situation.
According to reports, Ashley was "gutted" at the reception he took from Toon fans at Portman Road and decided then and there ... enough was enough.
But he is left with one interested party ... IF we can believe the news ... and that is Moat's consortium who (so far) have been all wind and piss.
Promising a lot ... but producing very little to back it up!
Ashley (talking to The Times): "Barry Moat has been driving me mad for two years.
"If he wants to buy the club, he's got a one-off opportunity to come up with the cash - £80m up front.
"I have to put £20m a year into the club - I spend more than every other fan put together puts into the club each year. If you can't pay up front to buy the club, you can't afford it."
