Were Beresford's Comments Costly?

United insist Shearer has not been sacked as a club ambassador, but poor Bez seems to be out on his arse because of comments he made against Mike Ashley when Kevin Keegan walked out.

Bez said Ashley should move immediately to sort out the mess and make sure Keegan returned.

As it happens ... Ashley stuck his head in the sand and you don't need me to tell you what happened afterwards.

Apparently, we were told, "you don't have a dig at Ashley and expect to get away with it".
