Remy spent last season on loan at St James' Park but returned to QPR in the summer and made it known he would NOT return to Tyneside ... no matter what they offered.
Was it Alan Pardew's eratic style of management?
Pardew's lack of ambition?
It certainly wasn't the fans, because Remy always praised the supporters and the "amazing atmosphere at St James' Park is the best I have ever known."
So ... it wasn't us (the fans) ... what is wrong at our club?
Tony Fernandes: “Loic was having dinner in my house in Chester Square to renew his contract.
“He is very close to me. He was loyal. He had turned down many clubs - Newcastle right in front of me.
"Newcastle on paper is a better club than us, a lot of French players there, bigger fan base.
"Then a phone call came from Chelsea, I think [manager Jose] Mourinho. There was a face change in Loic.”
