... "Serie A giants AS Roma are interested in signing Newcastle United right-back Mathieu Debuchy at the end of the season", according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.
The France international has only been at SJP a year, and he's on a five-and-a-half-year deal.
Debuchy has built up a reputation as being one of the Premier League’s best attacking full backs, with the 28-year-old having featured in 42 matches in total for Newcastle in all competitions.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are understood to be keen to land the player this summer for a fee somewhere in the region of the £8.5m mark, and Debuchy’s days with the Geordies may soon be coming towards an end.
As for Roma - they have allegedly shown an interest in Tim Krul, Davide Santon and now Debuchy in the last year - yet never once have they put a bid on the table.
Is it all BOLLOX? Probably.
