Fans voiced their anger at Joe Kinnear being offered a two year contract, and there was the usual venom spat at any mention of Mike Ashley.
Mick Martin believes ALL season ticket holders should renew their tickets, as he turned a blind eye to any reason given by those who are reluctant under Ashley's ownership, most of them waiting to see who comes in as manager.
Martin claims we should all follow like sheep ... regardless of the circumstances ... and pay up front every season ... no matter what shit is dished up on the pitch.
Probably the most constructive view came from a fan asking why Ashley had not appointed Alan Shearer as boss: "If Shearer was named manager there would be 10,000 fans forming a queue to renew their tickets.
"Ashley knows that, so why has he offered the job to Kinnear"?
There were the usual fans who couldn't make up their minds: "off course we can bounce straight back, but we could be relegated too".
And Clem talking with affection about "those down the road".
Yet the person who questioned Shearer, although frowned upon by some, had a very good point: "I wouldn't make Shearer manager because when we expected Shearer's motivation to kick in - it didn't. He won one of the eight games he was in charge, and we never got any better as the games rolled by.
"We expected at least a fight on the last day of the season at Villa Park but we didn't get it. One goal would have saved us, but the final 45 minutes of the season was played out in a wimper."
