He has refused to wear a poppy on his shirt his entire career, and Wigan's Championship fixture on Friday will be no different.
There is even a rumour going round that Wigan are set to replace McClean with Callum McManaman to keep the peace.
The match is shown on TV tonight, and it will make interesting viewing.
Sky Bet launched the #BidToRemember auction of match-worn shirts - each with a poppy on the chest - as part of the Remembrance Weekend commemorations.
All the proceeds from the auction will go directly to The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
All lots will be going live on Sky Bet’s eBay shop between Saturday November 8 and Monday November 10.
