Earlier this week, manager Alan Pardew urged as many supporters as possible to make their way to the DW Stadium - but he Latics later moved to insist that there would be no increase in the visitors' 4,500-ticket allocation and expressed concern about travelling fans attempting to buy seats in the home stands.
And Newcastle have now issued a statement advising supporters without tickets to stay on Tyneside.
NUFC: "With regards to our Barclays Premier League fixture at Wigan on Saturday, Newcastle United would like to make it known that all tickets for the away section of the DW Stadium have sold out.
"As with all away fixtures, we would like to remind our fans not to travel to the north-west for this weekend's game unless you have a match ticket for the away section of the stadium."
Wigan won't give us extra tickets for our fixture this weekend ... even though they haven't sold out their stadium all season.
But SOMEONE gave tickets to THIS company ... who are ripping off Newcastle fans ... and we would like to know who it was.
Tickets are still available for the match - at £125 each!

It baffles me as to how they manage to get their hands on tickets especially away games involving us.
We've sold out our allocation for Wigan away, yet they have 8 tickets for sale at £125 a go.
We rang them and said we need 15 tickets, the person on the other end said 'lets talk to my supplier, I'm sure we can manage that'.
How the hell do they have tickets for our end??
They even have 10 tickets for our end at Everton at £135 each when they havent even gone on sale to us yet.
