The traditional Saturday 3pm kick off is no longer ... for Premiership games anyway.
It's a combination of Mondays, Sundays, Saturday at noon and the dreaded Saturday at 5.15pm.
BUT ... perhaps we are being foolish, because Newcastle United’s winless run in home Premier League fixtures with a 3pm kick-off stretches back to August 2008!
Alan Pardew wants to put that right against Wolves.
Alan Pardew: “I know our crowd can make the difference and help the players.
“In the last two games, it’s been disappointing for our fans, but we’ve been unfortunate with injuries and suspensions.
“We’ve got to make it as difficult as we can for Wolves, and we need the crowd to play their part as they always do.
“The game with Arsenal was a big example of that, and you could really feel the power of the fans. When the mood in our stadium is right, we have every chance against any team.”
