Who's Right - Shearer Or Sir Bobby?
The Newcastle United manager put his faith in Lovenkrands ahead of the Magpies' top scorer Michael Owen at Liverpool on Sunday, and Shearer has been impressed with his all-round attitude since he took over as boss.
Shearer: "He's (Lovenkrands) fully recovered now, and he's fit again and back ready to play.
"I know he made a big impression when he first came here, and I thought he started well against Chelsea before he had the injury.
"He couldn't play the game after that, and it has been a similar story with a few players, but he's back fit now, and available for selection.
"He can play in a few positions, and has scored a couple of important goals.
"If we need him, hopefully he can do the same again."
