Coloccini has been an instrumental figure for the Magpies this season, but the January transfer window put a spoke in the works.
The Argentine tried to force away a move from Newcastle last month, with San Lorenzo a potential suitor at the time.
Coloccini was convinced to stay until the end of the season, though he admits he hasn't thought about his future much past that.
But on Sunday, when he was substituted, he walked from the half-way line - round from the East Stand, past the Gallowgate, to the dug out ... and Pardew walked to the edge of his coach area and turned his back on the player as he walked past.
Now no-one can say "perhaps he was more interested in the game and he didn't know he was there", because nothing much was happening on the pitch, and each section of supporters applauded Colo as he walked by.
Pardew knew full well he was there.
Perhaps it was not such a big deal, but it was certainly noticable.
