Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu has scored twice in two games for Newcastle United to help push the club back into the Premier League.
The 25-year-old scored a stunning free-kick against Cardiff City last night to get the ball rolling on a 2-0 win, with Magpies fans wanting the winger to join on a permanent deal
Atsu is set to return to the Blues in the summer, however there is an option to buy clause in his contract meaning he could make the North East his permanent home.
With the Magpies back in the Premier League they will be looking to bolster their squad, and Rafa Benitez has been speaking about his winger's future.
After the game Benitez was asked if he was ready to sign Atsu permanently, he replied: “The future of a player does not change with one action or one goal.
“We know that he is a good player. We have to decide but I am really pleased with him.
“It is just a question to see where we are in terms of squad and decide.”
