I think I speak for many Toon fans in saying Everton looked in worse shape than the likes of Wigan, Fulham and even Blackburn, in putting up a half-hearted performance at St James' Park.
I'm not saying we looked world-beaters, but I never thought for a second Everton were going to take any points.
Everton boss David Moyes in on a painful run of six defeats in seven games in all competitions, but the bookies are sticking with him and don't suggest he will leave his post.

David Moyes: "If you look at chances, we probably had more chances than Newcastle in the first half and we were on the verge of going in 2-0 down, so the goal before half-time gave us a real lifeline.
"But we couldn't quite get the opening or opportunity. We didn't get as many chances in the second half, albeit I have seen it and it is a stonewall penalty when it hits his hand.
"The ball was going in as well, so it had beaten the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper wasn't getting it."
Steve Kean is still the bookies favourite for the chop.
Blackburn fans found a way around their club's ban on protests against manager Kean at Ewood Park - by arranging for a plane to fly over the ground, displaying their message.
The club had warned fans not to display banners during the home game against Chelsea, which Blackburn lost 1-0.
Kean claimed not to have noticed the small plane that buzzed above Ewood Park during the first half.
There was also a small post-match protest against the Blackburn boss.
But Kean hailed his team for their showing, saying: "I don't feel let down because I think my players gave it everything.
"We are disappointed not to take anything from the game after creating that amount of chances."
