Woodgate: "It's a massive game for both sides but it's one we need to win. I've already played in a derby at the Riverside before because I played for Newcastle in a night match and Boro won 1–0. So I have experienced the atmosphere and I know it will be tremendous. The fans of both clubs are fantastic.

"I enjoyed my time at Newcastle but I can't say that it will be weird to be playing for Boro against them. There are no split loyalties. I am at Middlesbrough and I will do everything I can to help them win every game. We are looking for three points from every game and Newcastle will be no different."
