Deep down Forster knows it is possibly the worst place he could play football to impress England manager Roy Hodgson ... but he had no choice.
It was either join Celtic, or be so far down the pecking order at St James' Park he probably wouldn't get a game all season!
However ... he is hoping exposure on the Champions League stage this season can help him catch the eye of the England manager.
Forster: "All I can do is play well for Celtic and keep knocking at the door. There could be any reason (not being picked) but it can only help me if we get into the Champions League, that can only benefit me and progress me as a player."
