Rangers midfielder Josh Windass feels that " Crazy Newcastle United fans were wrong to want Alan Pardew out as manager."
Pardew was in charge of the Magpies from 2010 until 2014, before joining Crystal Palace after opting to leave St James' Park for Selhurst Park.
A large section of Newcastle fans had turned against Pardew and were pleased to see the former West Ham United boss move on.
And Windass, who watched Pardew interviewed on Sky Sports' Friday Night Football, cannot understand why Magpies fans wanted to see the back of the tactician, someone he rates highly.
"Good manager in my book."
