Hornets boss Ray Lewington is apparently keen to bolster his misfiring strike force with the addition of the £7million-man for the rest of the season, and Elton John is reportedly prepared to finance the deal.
Elton is apparently very keen on the tall, muscular young man who is reported to be single after splitting from his wife!
Meanwhile Stoke City are reported to be interested in taking Nikos Dabizas on loan, after having had an approach for Steve Caldwell rebuffed.
And Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are all reported to be interested in signing reserve midfielder Bradley Orr on loan. Presumably the youngster won’t be interested in playing in front of the Mackems’ bumper 13,516 attendances though.
