The target apparently is Wales defender Danny Gabbidon, who is one of the most highly-rated players in the Nationwide League and could be an option if Sir Bobby decides against perusing his reported interest in Nottingham Forest’s Michael Dawson.
Anyone who has seen Gabbidon playing for Wales will agree that he is a promising talent, however on the couple of occasions I’ve seen him play for the Bluebirds he hasn’t matched his international displays. So I’m not too sure what to make of these reports.
The other option is that our scouts have been watching the brilliant Robert Earnshaw, now he really is a player worth several million quid of the club’s money!
But thoughts of signing either can be forgotten should Cardiff win promotion to the Premiership and that isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
