Dutch radio station Rijnmond claim that the following Feyenoord’s failure to make the Champions League Sir Bobby has tested their resolve to keep the player with a £3million offer.
With Emerton having just 12 months left on his current contract at the De Kuip stadium Feyenoord are apparently giving serious consideration to the bid.
However the Melbourne Herald Sun and Fox Sports Australia claim that Emerton is unwilling to move to North East England and instead favours a move to Arsenal, where he will link up with Harry Kewell. It is also reported that he is due a testimonial at his current club at the end of next season and is prepared to see his contract through to claim the money.
Meanwhile Lagos based newspaper This Day claims that Isaac Okoronkwo will sign for us after agreeing personal terms on Tuesday. No official confirmation yet though.
