The Brazil midfielder is attracting attention from a number of Europe’s top clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Inter, but Shepherd still believes he can lure the player to Tyneside by doubling his £19,000 per week wages and offering him Champions League football.
However PSG are also keen to hold on to their star man and claim that none of the clubs that Ronaldinho’s agent is talking to has yet made a firm offer for the player.
At this point our bid seems doomed to fail with four of the other interested clubs presumably also prepared to double his salary and offer him Champions League football.
However with the asking price for the World Cup winner now reported to be £14million it remains to be seen if anyone can actually afford him.
